Storm Intercept Summary

I started my day off by waking up in Salina, Kansas, and finding out that today's potentially dangerous tornadic storms would be moving betwen 50 and 80 MPH after they developed.  These storm speeds would not make today much fun, as the storms would essentially be chasing me.
The other bad thing about today was that the storms started developing into a broken line of storms to the southeast of Dodge City, Kansas.  This broken line of storms indicated that not only would these storms today would be moving fast, but it would also be harder to pick out any wall clouds or tornadoes as the storms move by.
I saw my one and only wall cloud of the day to the north of Bushton, Kansas, located in Ellsworth County.  This storm screamed off to the northeast, and I dropped south to catch the next storm moving in my direction.
I let a shelf cloud overtake me north of the Kanopolis State Park and lake, which is east of the Smoky Hills bombing range.  I experienced 65-75 MPH winds with this gust front, and saw many tree limbs flying through the air.
